During my Ph.D., I plan on utilizing my background in GIS and ecology as I explore the impact of global changes, like climate and land use, on species. Specifically, I am interested in applying quantitative and spatial modeling techniques to better understand the effect of global change on animal population dynamics as well as how animals move through and utilize the landscape. By focusing my research in this area, I hope that my work can be used to inform more effective conservation measures.
