Research

We investigate ecological dynamics of terrestrial plant communities and ecosystems, biosphere-atmosphere interactions, and mechanistic models of animal movement.

Our research projects include:

Arctic Carbon Fluxes

Characteristics of emergent trees in Bornean tropical forests

Diagnosis and Consequences of Plant Stress in Forest and Woodland Ecosystems

HyspIRI: Linking Terrestrial Biosphere Models with Imaging Spectrometry Measurements of Ecosystem Composition, Structure, and Function

Legacy Effects of Drought in Semi-Arid Ecosystems

Legacy of Droughts in Amazonia: Vulnerability and Recovery of Tropical Ecosystems Under Water Stress

Mechanistic models of animal movement

Modeling golden jackal expansion in Europe

Role of prior disturbance and heterogeneity in tropical forest responses to climate change
